My Purpose For Seeking A Doctorate Degree - 1506 Words
My purpose for seeking a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership is to expand my field experience, knowledge of theory and research methods as it pertains to education. I particularly want to hone my research skills since I feel that the significance of gaining research skills is crucial in order to becoming a life-long learner and developing intellectual self-actualization as I prepare myself for furthering in Education. I realize the importance of gaining credibility among my future colleagues and people that I will be serving in the field. My view of Education is that of a reformist. I have a particular interest in the improvement of urban education, specifically the quality of education for low-income families. Because of my ownâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦After graduating from a prestigious university with a teaching degree, I accepted a job to sealed through a different challenge of teaching in a private school in Romania. The terrain of the private school was completely different than what I witnessed throughout my education -with abundant resources, high parent involvement, and overwhelming demand from teachers. I was able to put together a Biology Olympiad team and prepare students for national as well as International Olympiads. We were to travel to Kishinev, Moldova and participate in the Ecology competition there. During my three years of Biology teaching in Romania, I was able to enrich my skills, diversify my experience and instill ââ¬Å" failure is not optionâ⬠attitude, which also naturally comes from my amateur soccer playing experience during my high school and college years. Positive competition is engraved in me, which made me work sleepless nights in an effort to provide and deliver the best lesson plans available for my students during my early years of education career.
